Grand opening Kids Museum of Glass
On January 18, 2015, over 150 guests attended the opening of the new Kids Museum of Glass. In this former workshop that is converted into a space that hosts an Exhibition, a DIY Workshop, two Cafés, a Gift Shop and a Party Space, children can explore their creativity. The concept and design of the museum are by COO’s Tilman Thürmer, and combines art, design, performances, films and games in a creative, interactive and educational environment. The 2,000 sqm space is designed for children in the age from 4-10 to learn about the basics of glass in a playful and fun way.
On the opening day, some 80 young VIP’s were the first to try out the new glass playground, and discover everything there is to know about glass. On an exciting treasure hunt, games and challenges could win them exciting prizes. Museum mascots Bobo & Lili accompanied them on this festive day, which also included special demonstrations in the new and improved DIY Workshop, a VIP Hot Glass Performance and a lantern parade.
The Kids Museum of Glass is the newest addition to the Glass+ Park, which COO is co-developing as a design partner. From January 20 onwards, the Kids Museum of Glass will be opened for everyone to enjoy.
