The Kids Museum of Glass has done it again!
It’s always an honor to be recognised for hard work and dedication. We are fortunate enough to have been presented numerous design awards for our projects in recent years. To stand alongside international designers whom we respect gives us a real push to keep going and pursuing our design goals.
This year, the Kids Museum of Glass has already been a winner at the ‘Iconic Awards 2015 – The whole world of architecture’, and now we are delighted to announce that the project has been acknowledged in the ‘Excellent Communications Design – Interior Architecture’ category at the prestigious German Design Award 2016!
Both ”The German Design Award” and ”Iconic Awards’’ are supported by the German Design Council, Germany’s leading brand and design authority. As one of the world’s most important centers for design, the German Design Council operates at the interface between designers and the construction industry, and for more than 60 years has been a pivotal institution for promoting cross-disciplinary design.
“The Kids Museum of Glass was built as a “City of Glass” over 2,000 square metres, and is intended to help children to discover everything on the topic of glass. For this purpose, numerous easy-to-use multimedia terminals and analogue displays were developed to encourage them to touch, try and discover. A fascinating world of experiences in which the topic of glass has been implemented in a highly creative manner to make it playfully accessible.” – Jury statement: Michel Casertano, Dr. Angelika Nollert, Prof. Hartmut A. Raiser.
