Works From The Clouds

COO created an exhibition for the fifth anniversary of the ‘Annealing Project’ that provides a unique viewing experience at Shanghai Museum of Glass Park. The exhibition presents artworks from five artists who have collaborated with the museum since 2015 along with debut of archives and documents of the Annealing Project. ‘Annealing Project’ is a collaborative program where Shanghai Museum of Glass invited renowned artists, including Zhang Ding, Liao Fei, Yang Xinguang, Bi Rongrong, Lin Tianmiao, Liu Jianhua, Sun Xun, Kelvin Kyung Kun Park, to be inspired and work with glass. For the fifth anniversary of the program, COO created an exhibition that visualises the process of working from the archives and remotely under the special circumstance of the pandemic in 2020. Breaking away from the traditional presentation of artworks in “white cubes” in art museums, the artworks are displayed outdoors in sky-blue shipping containers as if they were downloaded from the clouds, metaphorically and literally.
