“Shared Planet” – New permanent exhibition hall at Shanghai Science and Technology Museum now open to public

COO led the design and the overall visitor experience for the hall, which spans 1,797 sqm. The spatial concept translates natural forms into a clear geometric language, using distinct colors and visual cues to guide movement through the four zones and the immersive moments in between. At the center, a large LED sphere runs the “Shared Planet” show, acting as a visual anchor and a recurring reminder that this is one system – dynamic, fragile, and shared. The aim is to make environmental issues feel concrete and socially relevant – not distant – and to leave visitors with a sense that the planet’s future is shaped by collective systems as much as individual action.
