The Shanghai Museum of Glass has introduced a new museum guide and wayfinding system, designed to give visitors a clearer, more engaging, and visually consistent orientation throughout the museum park.
The design language combines clarity with character: bold graphics, intuitive symbols, and a restrained colour palette make navigation simple and accessible, while the use of layered panels and modular signage adds depth and recognisability. The system extends seamlessly across different media – from large-scale outdoor orientation boards and signage elements to printed guides and detailed maps.
The new Museum Guide translates the complexity of the museum park into an easy-to-follow, visually rich tool. A clear icon system and isometric overview map highlight the diversity of the campus – its main exhibition halls, children’s museum, artist studios, theatres, and restaurants – while also presenting a coherent identity.
